A former entrepreneur and business leader, Julian’s work now includes leadership coaching and executive education, with the aim of bringing new consciousness to human performance. Julian’s career spans 20 years of entrepreneurship, leadership, and humanistic psychology training and practice.

Julian began his career as an opera singer and performed at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden for 8 years. After a decision to give up professional singing, he founded Zafferano which became one of London’s highly acclaimed food and event management brands. The Company was acquired in 2018 and Julian exited the business.

Julian now coaches Chairmen, CEOs, and executive teams, and runs leadership development training programmes internationally. He is an Adjunct Professor on the Talent Development Masters’ Program at IE Business School in Madrid, a Forbes Contributor & Member of the Coaches Council, and a speaker for Vistage International, a peer mentoring and coaching organisation for CEOs.

Julian sits on the advisory board for a range of technology businesses and is a board trustee for three charities in the fields of education, international and social development.

Julian was also part of the esteemed panel of role players for the ICDM PowerTalk Series in 2021, and participated at the special edition of the ‘Boardroom Simulation’ entitled Corporate Strategy Beyond Crisis. Speakers were designated specific roles, and contributed to the boardroom deliberation on a particular strategy agenda. After the simulation, the panel discussed what went well and wrong, touched on some best practices, as well as tips and guidance in increasing the value of the board, where it can be an effective partner of the management to guide the company’s future direction.

Azman is an International Coach Federation (ICF) certified coach. He is credentialed at coach mastery level (CMC). He established icoachKL as a private coaching practice focusing on C-Suite executive coaching to CEOs as well as aspiring young leaders moving up the corporate ladder.

As a coach, Azman is able to leverage off his past CEO experiences as well as C-suite engagement at senior executive and board level; helping facilitate career growth for individuals and business growth & transformation for corporations.

Prior to establishing icoachKL, Azman served as Senior Partner in the KL office of Korn Ferry International. He advised local corporates and multinationals on C-Suite executive & board placements as well as leadership succession & development. His experience extends to facilitating business & strategic direction for companies going through change, utilising his coaching experience and business development expertise.

Prior to Korn Ferry, Azman served in the UEM Group Malaysia for close to 20 years. In his time with UEM, he rose to assume various senior roles among others, Group Director of Business Development, CEO Rocpoint South Africa, UEM Foundation & MAVTRAC. His experience extends to the board level where he currently serves on the board of Takaful Keluarga Malaysia Berhad, formerly Costain Group Plc UK as well as the Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technologies (MiGHT).

Azman holds a BSc from the University of Malaya, an MSc from Strathclyde University, UK as well as an MBA from the Australian National University. He is an alumni member of the Harvard Senior Management Development Program as well as a Fellow & Faculty Member of the Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia (ICDM). He has conducted board evaluation on GLCs for ICDM, among others.

 

 
Shankar Santhiram image

Shankar R. Santhiram is an executive leadership coach. He is also Managing Consultant of EQTD Consulting Malaysia. He obtained a law degree from the University of Sussex in the UK in 1993.

Through a 20-year career of being the chief executive of two institutions of higher learning, and by entrepreneurial leadership of numerous start-ups, Shankar has first-hand practical knowledge in managing teams effectively to deliver outstanding results.

In 2002, he founded EQTD Consulting, a boutique training and management consulting outfit.

Currently, he consults and conducts leadership training programmes for some of the region’s best known corporate entities including CIMB Bank Berhad, Western Digital, Khazanah Nasional Berhad, Media Prima Berhad, Projek Lintasan Kota Holdings Sdn Bhd (Prolintas), AmBank Berhad, BBraun Industries, Sunway Group, Astra Zeneca, to name a few.

In June 2016, Shankar released his first book, “So, You Want To Get Promoted?” Distributed via MPH Distribution, the book has to date, sold over 5,000 copies, making it a national bestseller. In March 2021, Shankar has started writing another weekly column called “Purposeful Living” every Thursday on Free Malaysia Today (FMT) - Malaysia’s premier online publication.

Kimunya is the Chair of the Board of Kenya Network for Dissemination of Agricultural Technologies and has served as a Commissioner in the Sports & Environment Commission, National Olympic Committee of Kenya. He has also served as a Board Member of International Coach Federation Kenya Charter Chapter (2018-19).

Rejina Rahim has been helping people reach their goals since 2011 through her mentoring work from students to senior managers to entrepreneurs and has been recognised by The Peak magazine in 2019 for her mentoring work.

A firm believer of the need to constantly unlock possibilities and paying it forward, she decided to get a coaching certificate to enhance her coaching and mentoring skills further to help more people live more meaningful lives.

Rejina is a well-known figure in the Malaysian investment management industry, having been a C-Suite since 2006 and boasts the credentials of being the most successful and youngest female foreign Managing Director for Nomura Asset Management Group. Rejina is also Nomura Asset Management’s first non-Japanese female to head their overseas offices. In addition, she is also a Fellow of the Institute Corporate Directors Malaysia (ICDM) and is the Honorary Consul for the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Malaysia.
