Cultivating Future Proof Board Leadership + ADIP® Graduation Ceremony

The increasing recognition of the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion in board leadership roles is encouraging. However, despite this, board positions remain less accessible for board-ready individuals or aspiring board members. Some boards are either still hesitant to consider capable executives who do not have directorship experience or, have unequal expectations on first-time director to-be as compared to the more experienced director candidates.

To address barriers for diverse talents, boards must cultivate an inclusive culture, allowing space for a variety of perspectives. This is particularly crucial for integrating new, young, and fresh board members who bring unique traits such as technological proficiency, innovation, market insights, diverse networks, adaptability, and digital marketing expertise. Embracing these rising talents enhances board diversity and contributes to future-proofing the organisation.

How can the BNRC position itself as a leader in providing opportunities for capable first-timers to gain valuable board experience? What criteria should be used to assess the potential value that first-time directors bring to the board?

Please join us and our esteemed panelists to discuss how organisations can better consider rising talents and what aspiring directors can do to secure their first board seat.

More importantly, please also join us in commemorating the remarkable accomplishments of our Aspiring Directors Immersion Programme (ADIP®) Graduates and recognising them as ICDM Graduate Directors.

We take pride in acknowledging the dedication and achievements of ICDM’s Graduate Directors as they embrace directorship competencies, positioning themselves for future board roles with enhanced recognition, confidence, and promising prospects.

Come and meet our graduates. See how they can benefit your board and your stakeholders!
