Overseas applicants who are members in good standing in participating Institute of Directors or Governance Institutions around the world are welcome to join ICDM individual membership as Ordinary Member (known as Member) or Affiliate through the scheme and enjoy the following benefits.

- 5% off the published rate on IoD UK full membership (from £449 to £336.75 per annum)
- 20% off the published rate on IoD UK International membership (from £225 to £180.00 per annum)
- 47% off the published rate (from SGD$950 to SGD$500 for 3 years block)
- Any good standing ICDM Affiliate member shall qualify as VIOD Associate, and any ICDM Ordinary Member or Fellow member shall qualify as VIOD Fellow.
- Benefits extended include:
- Waiver on individual membership joining fees
- Membership fee of USD 300 for 3-years regardless of Associate or Fellow category
- Discounted member rates for VIOD’s events, activities, publications, meeting/training facilities and programmes
