In this evolving landscape, boards must move beyond their conventional oversight role to become strategic stewards - driving transformation, shaping long-term value, and guiding organisations through increasing complexity.

Preliminary insights from ICDM’s 2026 ASEAN Board Trends (ABT) survey underscore a clear reality: strengthening board readiness is no longer optional - it is critical to delivering on CMP4’s ambitions. Boards are increasingly expected to exercise constructive challenge, anticipate emerging risks and opportunities, and work closely with management to navigate uncertainty and unlock new value pathways.
