Sustainability has become an essential part of corporate strategy, with public expectations and regulatory standards steadily evolving. This session aims to provide a high-level overview of what board members should be focusing on when it comes to sustainability and ESG reporting, as influenced by recent frameworks such as the National Sustainability Reporting Framework (NSRF) and the World Bank's ESG Reporting Standards for public-listed companies in Malaysia.
The PowerTalk will kickstart a series of deep-dive programs planned for 2025, focusing on Sustainability and ESG practices within corporations. This introductory session will surface essential insights on the recent developments, how they impact board members, and the importance of integrating sustainability as a core strategic pillar.
The knowledge-sharing segment, delivered by Susanna Hasenoehrl, will highlight key sustainability developments, the role of technology , and the importance of aligning with NSRF and latest international ESG Reporting Standards.
