Mr. Lee has 30 years of professional experience as an economist and with almost 12 years in Bank Negara Malaysia and 18 years in financial services. His expertise has earned him many awards, which include “Best Economist” in The Edge Polls twice and ranked top 3 four times from 2000-2008, and “Best Economist” by the Asset Magazine Hong Kong- Local Currency Bond Market of Malaysia in 2007. He led CIMB Macroeconomic research toward the top 3 for nine consecutive years (2005-13) in the Asiamoney Polls. He is currently an Independent Director of Bank of China Malaysia, a member of the Investment Committee of OPUS Asset Management Sdn Bhd, a member of the Economic Committee of Malaysia Competition Commission and External Advisor of the Master of Intellectual Property programme at Xiamen University Malaysia.
