He is a sought-after moderator for panels of board members and C-suite executives focusing on navigating the intersection of risk-taking, innovation and governance. David is the award-winning author of multiple books, including: Governance Reimagined: Organizational Design, Risk, and Value Creation, The Board Member's Guide to Risk, and Life at the Nexus: Understanding Ourselves and the Power of Interconnectedness. His books have been translated into multiple languages. During his executive career, David created corporate risk management programmes at three different companies, including the first firmwide risk management programme in the mortgage banking business. He has managed complex risk-sensitive financial portfolios in excess of tens of billions of dollars in size. He is served on multiple boards in healthcare, finance, the arts and professional associations.
