She oversees a large portfolio of corporate clients across various industries, including manufacturing, trading, logistics, construction, real estate, hospitality, healthcare, education and oil and gas.
Lay Keng has over 30 years of professional experience, focusing on employer obligations and a wide range of people related advisory services. Lay Keng leads the implementation of e-Invoicing for the EY member firms in Malaysia and conducted numerous e-Invoicing workshops nationwide.
She is a licensed tax agent under the Malaysian Income Tax Act 1967, a Fellow Certified Practicing Accountant (FCPA), a Fellow of Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM) and a Chartered Accountant (CA) with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
Following our initial dialogue session on e-Invoicing and its implications for directors, held on 9 May 2025, we discussed the obligations to issue e-invoices by directors of companies under a contract for service who receive director fees exceeding RM150,000 per year.
