Bernard Yap is the Head of Private Client Services and Financial Services within the Tax Practice at Ernst & Young Tax Consultants Sdn Bhd. Previously served as the Indirect Tax Leader, where he led the nationwide implementation of the goods and services tax in Malaysia. With a strong background in tax compliance, regulatory matters, and consultancy, Bernard works extensively with Malaysian financial institutions, entrepreneurs, and business enterprises.

Dr. Rasyidah is currently the Director of the e-Invoice Division, Tax Operations Department, Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (HASiL). She has served with HASiL for more than 17 years and has been involved in various fields, including e-Invoicing Implementation in IRBM, tax compliance for corporations and individuals, as well as being involved with the implementation of data analytics. She has co-authored two publications on tax and has presented at tax conferences locally and internationally. Dr.

Cheng Guan has over 26 years my experience in the field of taxation. The first five years of his career were dedicated to corporate income tax compliance and advisory services. He then transitioned into indirect tax, where he has since developed expertise. His work spans advisory and compliance services across a wide range of indirect tax areas, including service tax, sales tax, goods and services tax, excise duty, customs-related matters such as importation and exportation, and tax facilities involving free zones, licensed manufacturing warehouses, and duty exemptions.

Christopher is a distinguished Partner in Ernst & Young Tax Consultant Sdn Bhd’s People Advisory Services practice, specialising in global mobility. With over 25 years of experience in Malaysian individual taxation and immigration matters, he brings deep technical knowledge and practical expertise in providing strategic guidance to multinational companies on cross-border workforce taxation issues. His expertise includes developing global mobility policies and structuring cost-effective remuneration packages for expatriates and local executives.

Anissa is an associate partner at Ernst & Young Tax Consultants Sdn Bhd with over 15 years of experience in corporate tax compliance, tax advisory services, and indirect tax. Her industry expertise spans across banking and financial institutions, capital market services, unit trust funds, real estate, hospitality, and charitable organisations. She brings a comprehensive understanding of both direct and indirect tax matters with practical experience serving a wide range of clients.
